Game Reviews!

Yes, I, an amateur gamer who uses easy mode whenever he can, will be reviewing any game that I find interesing/fun/cool to talk about! This will be a very informal thing, of course. The ratings don't mean anything, my opinion is, at times, utter dogshit, and I also do not know how to write reviews! Should be a fun time all around. Right now, I have my review of Hades up, my current hyperfixation that I have sunk almost 50 hours into in just a month, despite having a job and a life to attend to.

In other news, getting a new computer relatively soon! Mine is so horrible that is can and does crash running Half Life 1, so it will be a welcome upgrade. Plus, I will actually be able to play all the games in my steam library finally! Baldur's Gate 3 has been rotting in there since my good computer died on me months ago.

My birthday has come and gone, one year older! I was gonna write this on my birthday but the weekend had to be absolutely nuts hah, so happy late birthday to me I suppose! Been real busy overall. I started writing this on Monday and its already Thursday! Time is flying fast!

Been doing all sorts of things, drawings, coding, all sorts of things! Got my favorite song list up too! The links are purple now :]. Though, about drawing, I do think my only one year old tablet is slowly breaking, which is fun :/. Sometimes it just doesn't register presses, or thinks a drag is a press. I should take it to be repaired, but its an Apple soooo.

Gonna update my songs, found a really fun one, so look out for that! Also fixed my post ordering, so new posts are on top like they should be lol.

Hello! Shorter entry this time, guess who just applied for colleges!! Its a really big step for me as a person, and I cant wait to go. I am really hoping that I get into my top pick hah. It has over 70% acceptance so we hope!!

Im also doing well in Minecraft! I play on a server where, for map art, Raw Iron is a huge resource, due to its special color on maps that apparently cant be replicated by any other block. I dont really understand it, but as someone who has always had the most fun doing the 'mine' part of Minecraft, I have been making bank.

Also, unfortunately, due to being a free user, I cant embed audio :(. Maybe I will still put a Youtube link to whatever I am listening to? In any case, right now its Black Box Warrior by Will Wood. Love a song that is just living with ADHD and trying to tell a story lol.

Hello! I have been working hard! Life has been kicking my ass but I have been trying to work out the kinks of this website. For some reason the index has been showing up on top of the posts and frankly I am not entirely sure why. Gotta love learning coding from scratch only using basic knowledge from doing block coding and some written guides lol. Its very fun though, I must say, like picking up any new skill is.

Speaking of life, Half Life has been taking up a good amount of my time spent home! Its weird seeing myself get better. I mostly only use the shotgun in multiplayer, and its insane just how versatile that thing can be. Though, I do wonder how damage is calculated, because sometimes I instant kill someone, other times it takes 5 meat shots to down em.

My newest barley held back want is messing around with volcaloid. I am not gonna pay for Miku, but Teto seems fun. I dont even particularly want to make a song, god knows I don't have the skills for that, but I think just messing around and trying to make her talk in a semi human way. I have been thinking about linking to my favorite current song at the end of my posts. Or maybe just embed it like you used to on myspace, and just update it whenever? Could be a fun new project lol. If I do that, it will be on the sidebar ;]

Maybe I should stop writing these so much like diary entries and mored like, well thought out blog posts, but who cares? Its my website, I get to barf out my stream of consciousness and put it out into the world.

Hello! Im not really sure how to start my first blog post ever hah. Well, my name is Gordon, named (if it wasn't clear from my web pages theme) after Gordon Freeman from the Half Life series. While I hadn't gotten into Half Life 1 until recently, Half Life 2, and all Source Engine games have always held a special place in my heart. Really, my passion has always lied within the history of video games, which Half Life and Source are tied to.

As also mentioned, I do Doom mapping! Though I don't have an active project, you can find my doomworld page here, with two posted (and very short) maps. Both are made within GZ Doom using Ultimate Doom Builder.

My current project is, well, this! This website, and learning the basics of how to code in HTML and CSS. Im having a lot of fun, so expect this place to change around! Do not expect this to be optimised or anything either, the text for these posts are quite literally just posted into the index of the webpage lmao.

For what to expect from this blog, its well, whatever I am interested in! That can change on a dime, right now I am super into writing for MHA but tomorrow it could be, I dunno, candle making, ADHD does that sometimes, so consistency is not the name of the game here. Expect maybe some art, maybe some writing, but all passion.
